THE SELECTIVE COMPASION OF BRIAN DEPALMA

In 1989, fourteen years after American forces retreated from Vietnam, and the history of the misery of the boat people trying to escape Communism was already written. Brian DePalma took it upon himself to make the movie "Casualties of War". His movie was an indictment of the U.S. military atrocities allegedly committed against the Vietnamese people.
DePalma is a well known leftist who apparently detests the military and has now made another scurrilous movie about atrocities committed by American forces in Iraq.
His movie, "Redacted" was premiered in Venice recently to shocked audiences. It tells the story not of the beheading of an an American Journalist while being video taped, but of the alleged rape of a 14 year old girl, and the murder of her family. The film left out none of the gory details.
The hypocrisy of this man knows no bounds. When he made the film about Vietnam in 1989 the genocide in Cambodia had already taken place by Pol Pots thugs. They killed between 2 and 3 million Cambodians who allegedly had ties to American troops or just because they were in the way! Nor did he portray the estimated 165,000 Vietnamese who died in the Communist "re-education" camps.
The loss of life at sea by the fleeing boat people is unknown, but estimates in the thousands are not unusual considering the rickety vessels they were using to flee the genocide in Vietnam. Millions more made it to the United States with the aid of our planes, boats and ships.

None of this was even allude to in his "Casualties of War" film, and the basis for his film "Redacted" is the internet! Undoubtedly from leftist sources that dominate cyber space with Bush and military haters like DePalma.

Using graphic images found on the internet for his film. How many other such graphic images could he have found from Iraq, ones that did not relate to an isolated brutal crime committed by Americans but were of those committed by the Saddam Hussein regime? Might that have offered context? The mass graves, the amputees, the pictures of some of the thousands of dead Kurds in the villages attacked with nerve gas. How many graphic images might DePalma have found of mass executions, beheadings and atrocities committed routinely by Al Qaeda in Iraq and other insurgencies?

To allow this American hating nutcase to direct a propaganda documentary of hate filled untruths about our brave fighters is just more proof of how depraved this country has become. To allow this America hater to hide behind the first amendment and perpetrate a hoax against our brave troops who, because of lying fools like this cretin, are being wrongfully sabotaged by their own government for supposed crimes of inhumanity.Any action by our troops pales compared to the heinous acts these Islamic suicidal maniacs commit. Our troops are fighting a one sided religious war which this fool downplays as do most of our poiticians and news media.Traitors used to be shot but that is politically incorrect in this Godless age of moral relativism.Today such lying American hating fools are usually awarde with a Nobel prize,a Golden Globe award, and any other garbage the left wing can present to such turncoat psychos.
