WE HAVE BEGUN THE SLIPPERY SLOPE TOWARD DECADENCE

Since the time of the Presidency of John Adams, the second President of the new America, and the first vice- President under the administration of George Washington. We have evolved in the succeeding 232 years to the point where too many people believe character and belief in religious principles mean nothing.

In John Adams days he said: "The people have a right, an indisputable, inalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge -- I mean of the character and conduct of their rulers."

Fast forward to 2008 and you have two Democrats running for President who apparently don't hold to one of the fundamental principals of leadership. Be truthful, say what you mean and mean what you say.

Hillary Clinton has been exposed for lying about her experiences and dealings so many times that I will not bother to write about her.

But Obama is a different story. This man of "Change" is either the worst of liars or the epitome of a man without integrity, as the Obama/Wright drama has shown us. He said recently in a speech in North Carolina, that "the Reverend Wright issue is a distraction". Time magazine even had a columnist write that "character is a distraction"!

Obama either believes what his Pastor of twenty years, and spiritual mentor, has professed, and is lying when he says he never heard or believed what Rev. Wright said about God D##N America and the KKK of America. Or he is a man who shows lack of integrity by turning his back on the man who married him and his wife, baptised his children and was recipient of many Obama cash donations. By 'dumping his mentor of 20 years for political expediency, if he really believes what Wright professes. Obama has shown a lack of integrity necessary to sit in the Oval Office with the "Red Button".!

After eight years of scandals and lies of the Clinton Administration, I believe Americans have become accustomed to the fact that our leaders lie. This is furthered by the media's fixation for the past nine years of the alleged lies of President Bush.

WE have let our attention slide away from the character of our leaders to a position of " what can he/she do for me". The knowledge that our elected representatives are liars, but he/she is our liar and, "brings home the bacon"has become the prime motivator in elections it appears.

MY PRAYER ON NATIONAL PRAYER DAY

Despite the leftist politics and revisionist agenda, Religion has survived in the USA, because a majority of Americans believe there is an Almighty. The pilgrims did not cross the Atlantic Ocean in wooden boats to get away from religion. They came to America to be able to practice the religion of their choice. Not the Kings choice of religion.

The Mayflower sailed from Plymouth, England, September 16 with 101 passengers and a crew of 58. Several babies were born en route. The travelers' first glimpse of the New World was on November 19, near the tip of Cape Cod. The ship landed on the day after Christmas in 1620. The one hundred plus women, children and men were fleeing from persecution for practicing a religion other than the Kings religion!

Today we face a growing situation that seeks to erase all semblance of religion from all but our private lives. The lopsided interpretation of Freedom of Religion has been interpreted as Freedom from Religion by the secularist judiciary and too many elected politicians.If we follow that path, it will not be long before we are a pagan society.

It is well to remember that President Ronald Reagan declared May 1st as the National Day of Prayer on 6 May 1982.

President Reagan offered these words: “Today, prayer is still a powerful force in America, and our faith in God is a mighty source of strength. Our Pledge of Allegiance states that we are ‘one nation under God,’ and our currency bears the motto, ‘In God We Trust.’ The morality and values such faith implies are deeply embedded in our national character. Our country embraces those principles by design, and we abandon them at our peril. Yet in recent years, well-meaning Americans in the name of freedom have taken freedom away. For the sake of religious tolerance, they’ve forbidden religious practice in the classrooms. The law of this land has effectively removed prayer from our classrooms. It is my prayer that the nation that was founded by pilgrims seeking a place to freely practice their religion will return to belief in the Almighty, and the sanctity of life! Life is a precious gift from God, and it begins not when we are born, but at the moment of conception. It does not end until the end of our "natural" lives. This is the truth as understood by anyone who has seen a sonogram of a baby in the womb with a beating heart at one month of gestation!

My prayer is for peace among all nations and the fellowship of all men and women. Not the division we have today between the races and religions that believe they must convert or kill all who don't believe their faith.

I pray the peace activists, who claim that we are fighting in Iraq because of oil, will join me and others who know we can be independent of the Arabs and their oil. If only the Congress allows the drilling of ANWAR, off shore as the Chinese are now preparing to do, and the drilling in the oil shale rich Dakotas. Allowing the first oil refinery to be built since the 1960's would help also.

If we really want peace on this earth, I pray we allow the spirit of the Almighty to enter our lives, and turn away from the secular culture that includes hedonism, narcissism and self love with no concern for our neighbor.

I pray that feminists realize that their freedom of choice is not a freedom at all, but a license to kill an unborn person in what should be the safest place in the world. A woman's womb!

I pray that Americans wake up and realize that the decimation of food grains for more profit in the bio-fuel industry will, if not stopped, cause famine and death around the world.

I pray that men and women of the "cloth" will realize that the pulpit is a place to preach love for your neighbor, not hate for America and people of a different skin color.

I pray for the conversion of Communist China and Communist North Korea with the restoration of human rights.

I pray that those of the Muslim faith, who are "moderates", publicly condemn the violence caused by the terrorist element of their faith, so the rift between Muslims, Christians and Jews can be healed. And a trusting relationship begun.

I pray for our Patriot Armed Forces standing in harm’s way around the world, and for their families, especially those of our fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, who have died in defense of American liberty while prosecuting the war with Jihadistan. And I pray that a lasting peace can be established between the Iranians, Palestinians and Israel, before the world erupts in a nuclear holocaust!

This former Rabbi( since age 23 in 1973) now leader of a Southern California group called The Jewish Renewal Movement, and founder of the "Bat Kol" Jewish feminist theater troupe, and the co-founder of the Jewish Peace Walk, believes that their dialogue will help relieve the tension between Iranians and the USA.

I guess she forgot that the president of Iran has denied the existence of the Holocaust, and has vowed to obliterate Israel!

This radical feminist wrote a book titled, "She Who Dwells Within" in 1995 in which she makes her case that The Holy Ghost is a women!. She states that "RAUCH" is a female, and the third person of the Christian Trinity of God. And "HAVA" she sees as a woman!

This women refers to the Israeli State as the "brutal state", and calls the United States Justice System, "the criminal injustice system"!

Not exactly the kind of person the Jewish or Christian community would want to represent us, much less see her traveling to Iran on a State Department issued visa!

CIRCUMSTANCES DICTATE THE END OF BUSING "Black children and yellow school buses long have been inextricably linked in the history of education in America. It started with the historic 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision that allowed for school desegregation in cities like Milwaukee. That led to widespread busing movements that allowed black students to attend classes outside their neighborhoods at predominantly white schools.

A decision by the Milwaukee School Board last week to drastically reduce the amount of busing in the district will alter a fundamental relationship that has existed in this city for generations of students. But what the Milwaukee School Board did was not a statement about the racial makeup of the city's public schools, many of which are predominantly African-American. School Board member Michael Bonds, the architect of the plan, says busing isn't about desegregation anymore."When the district is 88% minority, it's not about race," Bonds told me. "It's about the fact we've spent $57 million on a failed policy."

MPS provides busing for 55,000 students a day at a cost of $57 million annually, according to reports. Bonds figures that kind of money could be better used in a school system that graduates less than half of its students. Specifically, he thinks the $20 million his proposal will save could be used to strengthen neighborhood schools, including re-opening several north side schools and providing art and music programs in those areas.For Bonds, it's a radical move, but one that demands MPS start to use its resources more wisely.

He has studied the issue and found MPS has closed schools in neighborhoods where choice and charter schools were flourishing".

Al Sharpton did that yesterday while inciting a crowd to of 250 Black Harlem residents to march against the verdict of a judge who accuited the 3 police officers who shot a Black man outside a strip club.Two of the three officers were Black!.

"We strategically know how to stop the city so people stand still and realize that you do not have the right to shoot down unarmed, innocent civilians," Sharpton told an overflow crowd of several hundred people at his National Action Network office in the historically black Manhattan neighborhood. "This city is going to deal with the blood of Sean Bell."The rally at Sharpton's office was followed by a 20-block march down Malcolm X Boulevard and then across 125th Street, Harlem's main business thoroughfare, where some bystanders yelled out "Kill the police!"

With this in mind there are a few facts that need to be addressed. China, India and other Third World Countries are exempt from the Kyoto protocols, and are producers of the most CO2 in the world. They also are putting more cars on the highway that use gasoline, and diesel trucks. So any reduction on our part will be taken up by these exempt Countries.

The CIBC report says the International Energy Agency's current oil production estimates overstate supply by about nine percent, since it wrongly counts natural gas liquids.

Analyst Jeff Rubin in his report noted accelerating depletion rates in many of the world's largest and most mature oil fields. He estimates oil production will hardly grow at all, with average daily production between now and 2012 rising by barely a million barrels per day.
"Whether we have already seen the peak in world oil production remains to be seen, but it is increasingly clear that the outlook for oil supply signals a period of unprecedented scarcity," said Rubin.
"Despite the recent record jump in crude oil, they will continue to rise steadily over the next five years, almost doubling from current levels."
The CIBC report also notes that while refinery capacity is at a virtual standstill, global demand continues to grow.
An expected drop in demand in the United States due to higher prices and a weak economy will be more than offset by demand growth in developing nations, it says.
Rubin cites, for example, the recent launch of Tata's 2,500-dollar car that will allow millions of households in India to soon own automobiles.
He also notes that car sales last year were up 60 percent in Russia, up 30 percent in Brazil and up 20 percent in China.
Transport fuel now accounts for half of the world's oil usage.
Although US oil consumption is likely to fall by over two million barrels a day over the next five years as pump prices rise, he says, more drivers on the road in Russia, China and India will surely pick up the slack in demand".

With this in mind, how long will the people listen to the clarion call of people like Al Gore and his sycophants, when food to feed our families become more expensive and scarce. Today we have two Democrats in a cat and dog fight for the nomination who have been either caught in numerous lies or are guilty of associations that are much worse for the nation than having a woman "on the side".

Hillary has many "whoppers", but two of the most recent are the one about her mother naming her after the climber Sir Edmund Hillary, only he made his climb and became famous five years after she was born. She claimed she was under fire in Bosnia when her plane landed. This probed to be a lie, and the best one is her claim that on 9/11/01 her daughter Chelsea was jogging near the Twin Towers when the planes hit! Only her daughter said she was in bed when it happened. It goes on, but you get the picture.

For his part Obama has uttered his share of lies and distortions.In a speech to a Selma, Alabama crowd meant to pump up his civil-rights movement authenticity and his Kennedy Camelot image, Barack Obama claimed that the Kennedy administration paid for his Kenyan father to travel to America on a student scholarship and therefore was responsible for his “very existence”. However, the first march on Selma took place on March 7, 1965. Obama would have been about three and half years old at that time. For some reason the media never did the math on this.

Obama’s Selma speech offers a very confused chronology of both the Kenya student program and the civil rights movement. Relating the story of how his parents met, Obama said: “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Junior was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama.”

Then there is his defense of Reverend Wright. Not so much lies as a sort of slippery sleight-of-mouth. "Reverend Wright and other African-Americans of his generation … came of age in the late fifties and early sixties, a time when segregation was still the law of the land."
Segregation was not "the law of the land" in the 1950s. It was the law in a minority of states. He continues: "For the men and women of Reverend Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years. That anger … occasionally … finds voice in the church on Sunday morning, in the pulpit and in the pews."
If, as Obama seems to be claiming, those are the sentiments only of Wright's generation, how come those whooping and clapping their approval in those sermon clips include lots of young people?
Then there is his statement about emergency rooms in hospitals. "This time we want to talk about how the lines in the Emergency Room are filled with whites and blacks and Hispanics who do not have health care …"
The lines in the Emergency Room at far too many U.S. hospitals are filled with illegal immigrants, preventing citizens from getting timely emergency help. What's your line on illegal immigration, Senator? Oh, right — you're fine with it, as is the rest of your party.

But the thing that makes Obama unqualified to be President is his association with terrorists like Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dorn and his cousin in Kenya, Raila Odinga.

Guilt by association is not the way to disqualify a man or woman, but at least he should say I made a mistake and I renounce him/her for what they stand for. We hear nothing but excuses!

Filling up one large vehicle fuel tank one time with 100% ethanol uses enough corn to feed one person for a year.Thirty million tons of U.S. corn going to ethanol in 2007 greatly reduces the world's overall supply of grain.

Gas and oil prices has pushed further into record high territory, with retail gas reaching a national average of $3.51 for the first time and crude nearing $120 as the dollar fell to a new low against the euro.
Gas prices are nearly 66 cents higher than last year, when they peaked at a then-record of $3.23 in late May, and have prompted many analysts to raise their estimates of where gas is going to go.
Prices for diesel -- used to transport most food, industrial and commercial goods -- also rose overnight to a new record of $4.204 a gallon.
While gas prices are following oil futures higher, they're also rising because supplies are falling. Refiners are in the process of switching over from making winter grade gasoline to the more-expensive, less-polluting, form of the fuel they're required to sell in summer. The requirement is also the product of Ecology political pressure!And no new refineries have been built for over 40 years!

KENYAGATE IN OBAMAS FUTURE?

Will Obama's alleged cousin in Kenya be his downfall?

Raila Odinga, the man who believes he was robbed of victory in Kenya's presidential election, will have a vital say on whether his country can avoid further violence.
The leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, Kenya's main opposition party, refused to call off a "million-man" march in protest of the allegedly rigged election. This headline and story was published in The Guardian on line edition January 2, 2008. The interesting part of the article is that it is about a man who claims to be Obama's cousin, and he claims he lost the election because it was "rigged" against him. If Obama loses the nomination in Denver, will we have the same situation?

Following the election, his tribal followers went on a murderous rampage of violence, and it was reported that many women and children were burned alive in a Kenya church. This occurred in broad daylight, when a crowd of Kenyans set a church filled with hundreds of terrified families on fire and listened to their screams as flames engulfed them.

This same man(Odinga) has allegedly made a pact with the Muslim Kenyans that in effect offered to Islamize Kenya in return for Muslim votes. Despite the fact that Muslims make up only 10% of the population, compared to the 80% who are Christian. Mr. Odinga himself is an Anglican, yet he signed a document that refers to Islam throughout as “the one true religion” and denigrates Christians as “worshippers of the cross.”

Odinga has a similar campaign strategy to Obama's. He offers himself as the man who represents a CHANGE from Kenya's past leadership, but he is no political outsider. Born in 1945, he is the son of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, an independence hero who was the country's first vice-president.

Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a "close personal friendship" with Barack Hussein Obama Junior. When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi. Odinga claims that Obama's father was from the same Kenyan tribe(Luo) as Odinga's father, and that he is his uncle. Thus, he claims that Barack Hussein Obama is his blood cousin!

Obama's bias for his "cousin"was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila's "stooge."With all the money that Obama's campaign has raised. Perhaps someone should investigate if any of the contributions have come from Kenya?

"Obama and his paternal 1st cousin Odinga, wanted to bring the whole of Kenya under Sharia law. Obama campaigned for Odinga in August of 2006,just before he filed with the US Federal Elections Commission for his presidential candidacy.
The idea was simply to have the Luo tribe, mostly Muslims, to take over Kenya from the inheritors of colonial power, the Kikuyu, and bring the country under Sharia law, kick out the Western investors in the nation that had made it one of the most stable nations in Africa, and supplant those Western investors with wealthy Arab oil money.It all failed.Then Odinga yelled election fraud, and put his Luo Islamofascists into the streets of Nairobi to “protest” by murdering, raping and maiming Kikuyu people, including the recent burning alive of a church full of Christians.
If Obama and Odinga succeeded, the next step in the alleged plan would be for "president" Obama to help Odinga consolidate his power over Kenya by international recognition and trade".

WAKE UP CALL FOR SENATOR OBAMA

As I write this post the polls in Pennsylvania will have been open for at least two hours. The results could effectively push Senator Obama into the nomination as Democratic candidate for President. Baring some dirty tricks or a catastrophe , Obama will be the candidate. It is entirely possible that this good looking, tell the people what they want to hear, empty suit may be this Country's next President.

If this happens and Obama keeps one of his many promises for "Change", he will withdraw our troops from the middle east and try personal diplomacy to resolve our problems with Assad and the Mullahs of Iran.

During the campaign Obama has said not to worry! He will go talk to the Iranian Mullahs and get them to stop production of Nuclear weapons. No need for military action says He.

If he goes he better take the whole Marine corps and the Atlantic and Mediterranean Fleet as protection. Reason bring, the Mullahs of Iran are about to include in Iranian criminal law code an item that has been part of their religious law for 14 centuries. Sharia law requires that apostasy be punished by death! Anyone who was a Muslim and goes over to another religion is considered an apostate! Obama was fathered by a Muslim, he has a middle name(Hussein) that is the name of a revered Muslim saint.

Obama went to a Muslim school, and attended Muslim services on "holy" days with his father from age 6 to 10. As far as Muslims are concerned he was one of theirs!

Who is an apostate according to the legislation? Anyone in the world, not just Iranians, born to a Muslim parent; also, any convert to Islam who leaves it. Only one parent needs to be a Muslim at the time of conception for Islam to own that child for life. Islam is Ummehist. Islam doesn’t recognize nationalities and national boundaries. And these Islamist zealots are very serious and have no sense of humor. Some say they have no sense at all, and they may be right. What they certainly have is a thirst for blood, particularly for the blood of infidels and apostates".

My question to Obama and those that support him, is do you really think you can use diplomacy to quell the lust for "nukes" by the Mullahs? Or is this just one more false promise that is part of a litany of lies you so smoothly tell to your adoring supporters and people who don't recognize an Elmer Gantry when they see one?

CONGRESS NEEDS A REMINDER -REMEMBER THE ALAMO

General Sam Huston and his 800 men defeated the Mexican generals force of 1450 men one hundred and seventy two years ago today at the Battle of San Jacinto. This battle was fought some 20 miles from the Alamo where Santa Anna's men massacred 250 "Texians" including such historic persons as James Bowie and Davy Crockett. The battle lasted 13 days(2/23/1836-3/6/1836) allowing Sam Huston to put together an army of between 800 and 900 men to fight Santa Anna's forces for 18 minutes before Santa Anna fled and his forces sundered. This led to the independence and eventual statehood of the Texas Territory.

The significance of this historic battle and the motto that led the "Texians" to victory, "Remember The Alamo" is the situation going on in the US House of Representatives right now.

The SAVE bill is being held up by Speaker Nancy Pelosi despite the fact that the Secure American ans Verification and Enforcement is a Democrat bill!

This bill has 147 sponsors, many of them Democrats, and would provide funds and authorization for 8000 additional border patrol agents and 1200 more Customs and Immigration agents to stem the tide of the horde of illegals entering across the Texas, Arizona and California borders.

Depending on whose statistics you accept we have between 8,000,000 and 20 million illegals in the USA, and most are Mexicans. One of these illegal criminals killed a promising high school football player in Los Angles on the 19th of this month.

Jamiel Shaw, jr. was gunned down by Pedro Espinosa, a member of the 8th street gang in LA just hours after Pedro was released from jail for the possession of a firearm and resisting arrest! Los Angles has a heinous "rule 40" that prevents law enforcement officials from notifying the Immigration officials when a convicted felon is released from jail!!??

During the period 2006 to 2008 the Bureau of Federal Accounting reports that there were 20,000 illegals in Southern California State and local jails. This same organisation estimates that 55,322 illegals are in US jails across the land. Forty nine percent have previous arrest records!

Some one needs to cry Remeber The Alamo and let "SAVE" come to the House floor for a vote.

Senator Boxer Shame on You!

Before Pope Benedict arrived, the US House of Representatives passed a resolution welcoming Pope Benedict XVI to the United States of America. He arrived last Wednesday, and since then has uttered nothing but praise and thanksgiving to the US for the freedom of Religion We have here. He has reminded Us of the message of Jesus Christ, after all that is His main reason for being the leader of the over one billion Catholics.

He has not lectured, tried to ram Catholicism down Americans throats. His demeanour and style has been that of a gentile man on a pilgrimage.

So when two Catholic Senators attempted to pass a resolution commending the Pope this past week it was strange that it was blocked. The California Senator who blocked the resolution is from Marin County. A place I once lived for over ten years, and I can tell you there are a lot of Catholics in Marin.

There are pockets of atheists, agnostics, Muslims, Jews and Buddhist's as well.

But there is no reason why she should be offended or worry about offending her constituents by voting for the resolution. The Pope has opened dialog with all forms of religions in the USA. He even attended a Jewish Synagogue!

The former Barbara Levy, now Senator Boxer, is a Jewish Democrat that has represented California in the U.S. Senate since 1992. I would hate to think that her Jewish roots caused her to block the well deserved Resolution. After all the Holy Father has pointed out numerous times during his visit that Jews and Catholics are joined together by the bond that occurs from the fact that the Mother of Jesus was Jewish as was Jesus and all His Apostles.Catholics revere the Old Testament of the Bible as the prophecy of Christs coming.

Senator Boxer please explain what is so offensive in this resolution? "Whereas Pope Benedict XVI has spoken approvingly of the vibrance of religious faith in the United States, a faith nourished by a constitutional commitment to religious liberty that neither attempts to strip our public spaces of religious expression nor denies the ultimate source of our rights and liberties...Whereas Pope Benedict XVI has spoken out for the weak and vulnerable, witnessing to the value of each and every human life..." The Senate resolution has bipartisan sponsorship. Republican Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) introduced the resolution on April 15. It is cosponsored by Democratic Sen. Bob Casey (R-PA). Both senators are Catholic.

THANK YOU TO GIBSON AND STEPHANOPOULOS

If you listen hard enough, you can hear the crying and gnashing of teeth of the Liberals who didn't want their anointed "Savior" Obama to look bad Wednesday night.

Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos, the moderators of Wednesday night’s presidential debate on ABC, became the subject of a fierce and somewhat unexpected debate themselves on Thursday, as viewers, bloggers and television critics lamented what they described as an opportunity lost: a chance to ask the two candidates for the Democratic nomination substantive questions early and often.

The key word in the excerpt from the New York Times article is "substantive". What Obama supporters wanted was "powder puff" questions from the two moderators that would give Obama a chance to Bash the Bush administration in general and McCain as the Republican nominee in particular.

What voters want is questions that pull back the curtain of deception and sleight of hand that has been the Obama campaign since he threw his hat in the nominee ring.

Obama has campaigned on the promise of change for Americans. Just what kind of change that he will produce is revealed when you understand more about his attitudes, associations, and the history of his legislative accomplishments. We learn nothing from his promises to right the perceived wrongs in Our Country. Promises are just that, promises!

George and Charles did the voters of the USA a great favor by asking the questions that would never appear in the Liberal media, especially the Washington Post or New York Times.

It was nice to hear pertinent and informative questions asked of both Obama and Hillary, before they got down to what the Liberals wanted. The bashing of the current administration!

WHEN ENVY AND ANIMUS TRUMP ECONOMICS YOU HAVE PROBLEMS

During the Democrat debate in Philadelphia this week Charles Gibson of ABC asked Obama if he was elected President would he raise the Capitol Gains Tax and the rate at which dividends are taxed?

Obama answered by referring to the unfairness of CEO of the top fifty Hedge Funds making a total of 29 billion dollars. Not a very direct answer, but one used to stir up envy and animus for those who make a lot of money.

What he said he would do to level the playing field was very revealing about Obama's lack of understanding of basic economics, or maybe lack of care for the average "Joe".

The Obama's reported a combined income of 4.2 million dollars for 2007. None of it from stock dividends. Any proposal to raise capital gains or dividends income would have no effect on the Obamas, but would have a big impact on the 100 million Americans who own stocks. Of these 20% make less than 50,000 dollars a year, and 50% earn less than $200,000 a year.A total of 52% of all adult Americans own some stocks.

Obama's scheme to raise the Capital Gains Tax from the present 15% to 28%, and a raise on the tax on dividends from it's present rate to 37% would have a major financial impact on the average American who "clings to guns or religion". It would also make a lie out of Obama's promise not to raise taxes on any one who makes less than $200,000.

The Heritage Foundation did a study of the effect on personal income and the economy of our Country that raising capital gains and taxing dividends at 37% would have. It postulated that the yearly cost to the Country would be a loss of $ 90 billion in GDP, and the average family of four would pay $1675 more in taxes.

The money lost is one thing, but they also project that this draconian raise in taxes would "kill 683,000 jobs"!

It sounds to me as though the "CHANGE" Obama is proposing would be a bad deal for millions of Americans!

THE INCONGRUITY OF OBAMA

When obama gave his elitist speech before a wealthy liberal audience in San Francisco at the Getty Mansion. He referred to rural Pennsylvanians He showed his elitism and lack of understanding of the people and issues that present themselves during this election cycle.

His statement that "it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations". A perfect example of a man who has a chameleon character that adapts to the audience to whom he is speaking. This is quite common in politicians at all levels. They say what their audience and potential voters want to hear.

But Obama revealed an apparent disdain for rural people in Pennsylvania, and possibly all rural people in general. He blames the people in rural communities for following the religious principles that this Country has been known for since it's inception. He blames them for using a right granted by the Constitution(to bear arms), and worse of all he blames them for not wanting illegal hordes to come across our borders . All this blame is because they don't buy his message of change!

It would be a good thing for a man or woman who claims to be ready to lead this Country to understand the issues that he is using to attack a particular segment of the USA.

The obvious oxymoron and incongruity of his message is the reference to "anti-immigrants". He conveniently left out the word illegal! Of course he was speaking in a city known for it's illegal sanctuary stance. But the fact still remains the wrong is not the rural peoples anti-immigrant attitude, it is the sin of the cost to hard working tax payers that have to bear the freight for those who break our immigration laws as this excerpt from an article in The Center for Immigration Studies.

The average illegal immigrant family receives an average of $30,000 in governmental benefits! Yet they pay only about $9,000 in taxes per year. That creates a $21,000 shortfall that the American taxpayer has to make up. That's like buying each of the illegal immigrant families a brand new Mustang convertible -- each and every year!"
The Center for Immigration Studies, a vocal opponent of illegal immigration, looked at " the high cost of cheap labor", and discovered that
in 2004 illegal immigrant families tended to receive fewer welfare and Medicaid benefits than other households -- but even then, didn't pay enough in taxes to cover the cost.
Based on Census Bureau data, this study finds that, when all taxes paid (direct and indirect) and all costs are considered, illegal households created a net fiscal deficit at the federal level of more than $10 billion in 2002. We also estimate that, if there was an amnesty for illegal aliens, the net fiscal deficit would grow to nearly $29 billion.In terms of welfare use, receipt of cash assistance programs tends to be very low, while Medicaid use, though significant, is still less than for other households. Only use of food assistance programs is significantly higher than that of the rest of the population. Also, contrary to the perceptions that illegal aliens don't pay payroll taxes, we estimate that more than half of illegals work "on the books." On average, illegal households pay more than $4,200 a year in all forms of federal taxes. Unfortunately, they impose costs of $6,950 per household.

I believe that Obama has the "Ox before the Cart" on this and many other important issues. not to belabor the point but his idea of talking to Iran bout stopping their nuclear program makes as much sense as most of his left wing platform!
