Bedfellows and Anti-American Rhetoric

Last Sunday at the storied home of the Detroit Tigers in Michigan where greats like Ty Cobb, Bob Gibson, Mickey Lolich and Cy Young winner Willie Hernandez once played . A travesty occurred within those hallowed baseball walls. Louis Farrakhan gave a speech to his Muslim followers in which he called for not only the impeachment of the President of the United States. He made a public display of what this blogger feels is seditious speech. He said: "Blacks are urged to avoid military service." When he spoke these words an apparent friend of this radical "Nation of Islam Brotherhood" one time leader was in the audience. Representative John Conyers witnessed this diatribe and later said nothing to indicate he was apposed to what Farrakhan said. This another prime example of how our right of free speech can be used to tear down our Great Country!
This is not the first time a Muslim public figure has called for the Impeachment of Mr. Bush.
Last October, now representative to Congress from Minnesota, Kieth Ellison said:"the president is running amok, and there is only one way that you can truly hold this President accountable is impeachment. Now that Pelosi has appointed him to the prestigious Committee of the Judiciary. He is in the place to continue his "jihad" against President Bush.
Expect him and many followers of The Nation of Islam to be in the crowd marching on the Capitol this weekend demanding an end to the Iraq war.

We Ignore The Threats we Choose to Hide

Each year 6,000 children age 16 to 20 are killed when they are driving a car! The number killed in 2002 was 7386.
The cost of medical treatment and rehabilitation of the other 300,000 teens injured in car wrecks is $42.3 billion!
Many of these deaths are alcohol and or drug related, but not all. Many are caused by accidents in the small cars that parents buy to satisfy the mobility needs of the modern teenager, and to put less of a burden on the parents to take them where they need and want to go.
Many accidents resulting in fatalities are the result of small cars being struck by large trucks or SUVs.
We don't hear enough about these deaths. The Media is too busy screaming about the 4000 KIA in Iraq in the past four years.
Instead of spending their time in Congress drawing up bills to "defund" and force withdrawal of Our troops in Iraq. These Hypocrites should be looking to legislate more safety on the highway for our children and ourselves.
Instead, the Congress continues to raise the mileage requirement for passenger cars and is "lockstep" with environmental activists to pressure the American public into buying lighter hybrid gas and battery powered cars.
They have allowed double trailer trucks and hundreds of thousands of school buses without seat belts. All of this has made the highways not only more dangerous for all drivers, but most certainly contributed to the teen death rate. Each year the average car gets lighter and the trucks get bigger and polute more.
The loss of Our men and women, who have been killed in action in Iraq is tragic. But the inattention of the teen death rate on the highways by Congress is criminal and shows the preoccupation (and pandering) with the "fanatically" anti-industrial environmentalists by the Washington politicians and the Main Stream Media.
By the way, these hybrid cars cost on average $3,000 dollars more than the same car powered by gasoline.This figure comes from the makers of the Honda cars.
With gas at the present price of $2.50 per gallon. It will take ten years of average driving to make up the difference in cost, driving the hybrid that gets 46-50 miles per gallon. There has to be a better way. How about letting more foundries be built, and drilling for oil in ANWAR before only Russia and China have enough oil to sustain their quest for world power!

Jane Smiley, Islamist Collaborator?

In an article for Slate shortly after Election Day 2004, Leftist Jane Smiley wrote:
"The election results reflect the decision of the right wing to cultivate and exploit ignorance in the citizenry...I suppose the good news is that 55 million Americans have evaded the ignorance-inducing machine. But 58 millions have not...Ignorance and bloodlust have a long tradition in the United States, especially in the red states...The error that progressives have consistently committed over the years is to underestimate the vitality of ignorance in America...The history of the last four years shows that red state types, above all, do not want to be told what to do - they prefer to be ignorant. As a result, they are virtually unteachable...Listen to what the red state citizens say about themselves, the songs they write, and the sermons they flock to. They know who they are - they are full of original sin and they have a taste for violence."

Then she wrote the following for the Huffington Post 2/06/07:

The problem with victory here is that Cheney and Bush can't reveal what they have always really wanted--control of Iraqi oil, and so they when they get it (which they might), they won't be able to reveal that victory is achieved. There's a big picture and a little picture. The big picture is that no victory can be won against an insurgency without pretty much wiping out the native population (which naturally resents being told what to do). The little picture is that if and when the US and its oil companies get control of Iraqi oil and the profits thereof, they can't admit that that is what they were after in the first place. So, "Prez" Bush, no victory for you. Sorry.

If the Mullahs had written and spoke the words above they couldn't have done a better piece of propaganda for the Radical Islamist cause than this 3 times married and divorced, Vassar '71 graduate is doing on a daily basis.

The greatest hope the Radical Islamists have in their quest to defeat US, the "great Satan", is to destroy the American Public confidence in our Government. They know they can't win a military victory----YET!

Once they get the "BOMB" they can and will use it. In the meanwhile the four things they want to do is promote four things in the U.S.

Infiltration, Intimidation, Disinformation and most importantly Appeasement.

They have already begun the infiltration with the election of Ellison to the U.S. Congress, CAIR is leading the battle of intimidation. A perfect example is their immediate condemnation of the "Moderate Muslims" meeting in St. Petersburg, Florida this past week.

Disinformation comes in many forms. The biggest supporter is the leftist main stream Media here in the U.S. This includes the "traitor" Jane Smiley whose quotes I lead off with in this blog.

Appeasement comes in the form of the Democratic Congress lead by Pelosi, Murtha, and their followers the "peace marchers" and defacers of the Congressional Bldgs.

It is clear to me that Stalin was not too far from the truth when he said: "We don't have to defeat you militarily. We can do it internally." What he didn't say and needs to be said. We will use your Constitutional right of free speech to do it. Ms. Smiley and the Media are living proof that we are on course to destroy ourselves.

Enemies All Around US

"Someday soon the the escapism will run into the dreaded reality." This quote was made by a little know author when talking of the "peace-nicks" and leftist leaning U.S. government officials who advocate diplomacy for Iran, Iraq and Korea.
The problem, as always is the case with idealism, is the reality that you can talk until you run out of breath, and it won't change the minds of those who have as the main purpose in their lives , the destruction of our way of life and us with it.
These are not only Radical Muslim extremists. The Marxist threat is still all around us. The media and most government agencies know it, but make little mention of it.
A good example of the impact that foreign enemies have is found in the actions perpetrated by the Premier of Russia, Vladamir Putin.
The man Boris Yeltsin hand picked for Russian Prime minister,Lt.Colonel Putin of the KGB has his fingerprints all over the disappearance the Saddams WMD. The following quote from Scott Melensek indicates Putin was complicit in removing the WMDs as well as delivering conventional weapons to the Iraqi s to fight the U.S. during the protracted time it took to decide to invade Iraq.
Lest you think one lone KGB agent now turned politician did this alone be reminded that BBC news reported that four out of five Political leaders, and State Administrators have been or still are members of Russias' Secret Service. Thus, we have the following report.

Recently declassified documents from Saddam’s Iraqi Intelligence Services headquarters as well as the "Iraqi Perspectives Project" report released two weeks ago both serve as new sources detailing how Russian intelligence was working hand in hand with the IIS-even going so far as to provide the Iraqis with the American invasion plans for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sec. State Rice has even brought up the matter of Russian aid to Saddam’s dying regime as recently as last week. Note: The weapons used today come from Belarus via Syria and Iran where they are slipped across the border to Iraq.

One wonders how differently the war in Iraq would look if American commandos had been able to seize elusive WMD in those first few hours of the war, and what it would have been like if they could have presented it to the world? As more and more captured documents are being released every day, why not present the documents detailing the list of illegal Russian armaments provided to Saddam, or the other evidence of illegal Russian support as well?
You can "bet the Farm" you won't read this report and the many other Documents included in the "Duelfer Report Vol III" until after 2008!

Vedict For The Left

The guilty verdict today of Mr. Libby is an example of the miscarriage of justice that we can expect to experience as long as we have the Democrats in power. One of the Jurors. How he ever was accepted as a juror I can't imagine. Dennis Collins, was a past employee of the Washington Post! Talk about the "fox in the hen house". Did the defense think they could convince his "warped liberal mind" that their defendant was innocent?CREW filed the suit against Libby, and quotes from the "Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics", sound like they are unhappy their suit didn't include more of the Bush Administration.This organization claims they are Conservative. If so where were they during Clintons eight years in the White House. Bill and Hillary did enough shady things to fill their calender.

Strength and Honor" Needed Now More Than Ever

Two notable meetings were held the past few days.
The first was the trip of the "height challenged Iranian President,Ahmadinejad, to Saudi Arabia. His visit apparently was to discuss his quest for nuclear weapons with King Abdulla bin Abdul Aziz. The meeting didn't last long. The 5'3# megalomaniac left Saturday for the meeting in Riyadh, and hurriedly departed for Iran the same night. Neither the King or Ahmadinejad speak each others language, so interpreters had to be used.
When the meeting was over the King announced among other things,"Our two Nations are Muslims with a united belief and therefore enjoying good relations." No mention of Irans quest for nuclear power was included, and since the Iranian president left so suddenly it is assumed by the foreign press that a disagreement over Irans nuke ambitions may be the reason for the sudden exit.
Saudi Arabia because of its' vast oil resources has always been considered an ally, but over the years they have been at cross purposes with the U.S.and Iran.
Saudi Arabia supported Saddam in his war against Iran in 1981, and it was only when Saddam invade Kuwait did they change allegiance and allow U.S. troops to be "staged" in their Country.
Meanwhile for many years Saudi Arabia has spent close to one hundred billion dollars promoting the Muslim faith around the world, including the U.S.
Their money has been spent building Mosques, schools and promoting their brand of Muslim Faith, Wahhabi's. The Saudis gave refuge to "The Muslim Brotherhood" when many of the Middle East Countries banned the radical group. One of the "refugees was Osama bin Laden!
At approximately the same time the King and Iranian President were meeting House Speaker and a few of her leftist friends, Representatives, Dingell, Conyers, Rangel,and a few others were meeting with unnamed Muslim leaders here in the U.S.
The topic of their conversation was the discrimination shown to Muslims in America. Never mind 9/11. The Speaker had this to say: "This discussion is only the first in an ongoing dialogue between congressional Democrats and Muslim Americans," explained Pelosi. "We share a fundamental principle – the belief that diversity is the backbone of our communities. Generations of Muslims have made positive contributions in every aspect of American life. We must now work even more closely to navigate through the challenges we face as a nation."
Is it indeed true that Pelosi was able to find Muslim leaders who actually celebrate diversity? Could this be why the identity of the group remains secret – to protect them from less multilaterally sensitive members of their own community?
Pelosi continued: "Since September 11th, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin, without any credible information linking individuals to criminal conduct. Racial and religious profiling is fundamentally un-American and we must make it illegal."
Only a person "brain dead" or one pandering to the Muslim vote for her Party could say such utter tripe!

HBO Should Cancel Maher and Apologize

This post includes a quote located on Mr. Sheppards' web site that needs comment.
In the past HBO has put shows on their "trashy" network that were an attempt to defame or question the way our President is waging the war against Islamic terrorism. The Abugrab episode is just one of many programs featured on what is sold as an entertainment network. The HBO Brass have obviously decided to push for defeat in Iraq, and promote anything that deprecates President Bush.
At the same time they actively feature homosexuality and various forms of depravity that is part of the "nihilistic" plan for cultural change in the U.S.
But what Bill Maher said on his show is an all time low for HBO, and needs to be denounced by the HBO executives and the producer of his "tripe" that is called a show!
In no other country in the world would his statements about the failed attempt to kill the Vice-President be allowed to be aired except the maybe in the American hating Arab States. HBO did the job for Al Jazeera.

In 2002, ABC decided not to renew Bill Maher's contract apparently due to some disgraceful comments he made on his program "Politically Incorrect" following the 9/11 attacks. After what transpired on "Real Time" Friday, the heads of HBO should be equally outraged, if not more.
As the discussion moved to the attempted assassination of Vice President Cheney last week, Maher asked his panel why it was necessary for the Huffington Post to remove comments by readers concerning their disappointment that the attempt failed. As the conversation ensued, Maher said one of the most disgraceful and irresponsible things uttered on a major television program since Bush was elected.
In a nutshell, the host said the world would be a safer place if the assassination attempt succeeded. And, he even had the nerve to reiterate it.

Concerned Parents Alert!

Parents of Teenage and College bound girls should be aware that their children will be bombarded by a cabal of a cell phone business and Planned Parenthood (aka No-Parenthood).
They will try to get them to sign up for their phone service with "Working Assets".
This cell phone provider has made a commitment to Planned Parenthood to give 10% of its profits to planned parenthood.
Planned Parenthood is a total misnomer in that it is a 100 million dollar business that provide abortions as their product. As a side line it sponsors and dispenses birth control pills and devices.
Even if you believe abortion should be legal you have to know that the target audience of this cell phone phone company is women under the age of 24. Their present subscribers consist of 70% under age 24, and 27% are teenagers. This would seem why Planned Parenthood made the deal. To expand their client base as well as the money to promote more legalized genocide.
Another organisation receiving money from this cell phone company is the well known Communist sympathizing CODEPINK!
Government statistics show that since 1981 an average of 1.6 million abortions were committed each year until 1990. Roe/Wade became law in 1973, so it is likely that over 31 million victims of abortion have been sacrificed on the altar of "Womens' Rights".
And yet we keep hearing how terrible it was (and it was) when Hitlers Nazis killed 6 million Jewish adults. If only Americans had half as much compassion for the defenseless unborn!

A Good Conservative Blunders

The "Captains Quarters author Ed Morrissey has made a blunder with a comparison to the pejorative speech by Ann Coulter.
Ms. Coulter used the word "faggot" in describing John Edwards. Whether she meant to describe his sexual persuasion, or was using a "bar room" slur to describe a person she dislikes immensely, I don't know.
Either way it should not have been used in the forum that it was uttered. But Mr. Morresey took time in his award winning blog to compare her speech with that of Amanda Marcotte, who is infamous for her hate speech against Catholics, and Melissa McEwan who called Christians, "Christofascists Godbags".
Coulters remark is indefensible, but referring to anti-religious speech as being the same as calling a person with a sexual proclivity different from normal, is a stretch.

Ann Coulters "word" is objectionable, but the other two women are guilty of sycophancy! Yes, I know some religions open their arms to Lesbians and Homosexuals. But so far, my religion does not!
Homosexuality is a group of people with a lot of political clout these days. Especially since the advent of political correctness. But using a pejorative word is not the same as speech dedicated to tear down a religious belief.

If it were the Quran would be declared hate speech, since it specifies numerous times to kill homosexuals among many other punishments for infidels.

Time To Take a Close Look at Culture

We must have a cultural change in this country, and for many it will be painful. But we have to do it if we wish to preserve the Republic. We call The United States!
There is a persistent refusal by many people to accept that we are in the throes of a holy war waged on the Western world for more than 25 years without our even recognizing it, because it doesn’t fit our definition of war. It is a world war being fought in many disparate theaters around the World,with many proximate causes, but all with one single aim. To defeat Western civilization, establish Islam as the dominant power in the world and restore the medieval caliphate.
As John Stuart Mill once said, "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

It is a sad picture in Europe where so many of the people have never learned to fight for their freedom… Where people are only good at enjoying it. Usually thanks to the USA. But it is sadder still to realize that nearly half the American people – Liberals, Democrats, the anti-war radicals with the loudest voices – agree with them… They rely for their freedoms on the exertions and sacrifices of better men than they. Our own U.S. culture has begun to give way to multiculturalism. And this is the core of the dilema that will paralyze us.

Many people think multiculturalism is all about showing respect and tolerance to other cultures and faiths. Well, we should all support respect and tolerance. But that’s not what multiculturalism is at allas I understand it.

The doctrine of multiculturalism holds that all minority values must have equal status to those of the majority. Any attempt to uphold majority values over minorities is a form of prejudice. That turns minorities into a cultural battering ram to destroy the very idea of majority culture at all.
A liberal, tolerant society - which is what the United States is- welcomes and respects minorities. But the "deal" since the "Enlightened" invented tolerance has been that, while the State makes no demands on minorities practising their faith and culture in the private sphere, minorities make no demands that the State adopt their own practices. Minorities do their own thing, but where their values conflict with the bedrock values of majority culture - freedom of speech, monogamy, women’s rights - they must give way.
Many Muslims do not accept this. And multiculturalism gives them the muscle to insist that their practices must become mainstream. That’s why in Europe they have areas under the informal parallel jurisdiction of sharia law and growing pressure for it to become incorporated into mainstream society.
But precepts such as polygamy, the subordination of women or death penalty for apostates or gays are totally contrary to American society.
It is only if we act against the Islamic ideology that is spreading falsehood and hatred, and stop its advance under the umbrella of minority rights, that we have any chance of defending the free world. That means - while showing respect to Muslims who derive only spiritual sustenance from their faith - reasserting Western values and resisting any attempt to subvert them. It also means facing down in public the lies spread about the West.Without an approach to Muslims residing here in the U.S. that includes these precepts we have little hope of remaining a Democratic Republic where individual rights are respected.

Attack On Chritianity Is Relentless

The attacks on Christianity keep coming. Not only from our present enemy the Islamic Jihadists, and in recent history from Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, PolPot and Wen Jiabo of Communist China. Now Days the anti-Christian dialogue is a steady stream of lies and misrepresentations from academia and the media. The most recent example of the blasphemy spewed by the television "prevaricators" comes from Matt Lauer.

The following is a very good example of an attempt to tear down one of the basic tenants of the Christian Church. The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ.

On Monday morning NBC News' Matt Lauer proffered an infomercial for "The Lost Tomb of Jesus," a "documentary" airing on the Discovery Channel this weekend. NBC's breathless billing described the production as a "shocking new claim" that James Cameron, the Hollywood director of "Titanic," had discovered the place where Jesus, his wife Mary and their son were buried, and promised that NBC's exclusive interview "could rock Christianity to its core." Peacock network promoters failed to note that the tomb Cameron "discovered" had actually been found nearly three decades ago -- and that credible archaeologists had long since dismissed any assertion it belonged to the Jesus Christ crucified on Calvary.

Not only does this piece attempt to destroy peoples faith in the Resurrection of Jesus. It also makes the point that Jesus was not celibate, as he has asked his priests to be, but was married and had a male child. Their implication makes those with little faith, believe Jesus was just another man like us. Not the God made man who was born to die on the cross at Calvary for our sins, and rise from the dead on Easter morning.

I don't expect everybody to believe this as I do. But please don't try to tear down the basic belief of the majority of American people with lies and misinformation.

I would bet my last dollar they wouldn't try to malign Mohammad this way!

Hypocrasy At U. of Minn. and Media Ommisions

Two newsworthy stories you won't find in the left wing media are the hypocrisy being demonstrated in the State University of Minnesota, and the statistics of military KIA during Clintons' administration
The first obscenity is that despite protests from the Rev. Harry Flynn, Catholic Archbishop of Minneapolis, that the play is anti-Catholic. The President of the University, Robert Bruininks, is allowing the Production of Nobel Prize winner Dar Fo's play "Pope and the Witch" to go on stage in the University theater 3/1-3/9.

This play is about legalizing drugs, a pro-abortion Witch, and a paranoid Pope who oversees evil in the Vatican. The director is Robert Rosen.
The hypocrisy is that were this play, written by the Italian writer, about the Muslim religion. The University would never let it be seen. CAIR and Minnesota's new Muslim Congressman would make sure of this.
Fos many plays also include such "jems" as Archangels Don't Play Pinball". The man obviously has an animus for the Catholic Faith, and should not be allowed to be shown in a State University funded by many Catholic citizens of Minnesota.
The second fact is the number of Our military KIA during Clintons' administration.
The media is obsessed with printing a daily kill count of the action in Iraq and Afghanistan. You can't read a paper or watch the veening news without some mention of our KIA.
But we never read or heard of the 1245 killed in 1993, 1109 killed in 1994, 1055 killed in 1995, and the 1008 killed in 1996. This total of 4,417 for the four years we were sending our troops into combat in Kosovo, and various other exotic places like Mogadishu these brave soldiers died doing their duty. I morn their deaths, but abhor the fact they went unreported by the left wing press.
This is more than an omission. It is deceptive and biased propaganda not unlike what we saw from Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany during WWII.

Maybe Obama Isn't Black Enough

The supporters of Hillary Clinton and some Black leaders have charged this past month that Senator Obama "isn't Black enough" to expect full support from the Black voters.

Perhaps they are correct. If you look to the recent past you will find that the United States Senates only past leader of the KKK has gained support from Obama.

Wikapedia lists Senator Byrds involvement in West Virginia KKK as a "Kleagle" aka, recruiter, and later during the late 1940s as "Exalted Cyclops"(leader of the local Klan).

His racist activity does not stop with his membership in the KKK. His book,"When Jim Crow Meets John Bull" includes the following:

"Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds
When running for Congress in 1952, he announced, "After about a year, I became disinterested, quit paying my dues, and dropped my membership in the organization. During the nine years that have followed, I have never been interested in the Klan." During this campaign, "Byrd went on the radio to acknowledge that he belonged to the Klan from 'mid-1942 to early 1943,' according to newspaper accounts. He explained that he had joined 'because it offered excitement and because it was strongly opposed to communism."

With a history of bigotry and racism like his it is strange that in 2005, shortly after becoming the Junior Senator from Illinois. Senator Obama went to West Virginia to help raise money for Senator Byrds reelection. He was soliciting the sale of tickets at $2500 a plate to a Byrd testimonial.

Granted Obama is only half Black, but even 50% of his heritage being Black should have kept him far from West Virginia, and support for a man who used the "N" word on national television twice in 2001.

Perhaps the part of him that is allegedly Muslim was attracted to Senator Byrd's "anti-Communism" reason for joining the KKK? What do you think?

While Americans fall under the spell of Global warming and the mandates of the ecologists who want the U.S. back in the stone age.A report by Gordon Taylor discloses the following facts.

The Chinese Communists have just made and agreement with Aramco and Exxon-Mobil to expand the oil refinery capacity in the Fujian area of Southern China from 80,000 barrels a day to 240,000 barrels a day.

The Communist Provincial government and the Chinese oil giant Sinoper will own 50% percent of the operation. Exxon-Mobil and Aramco will each have 25% interest.

While the U.S. anti-energy "Jacobins" make plans to develop lighter cars that are battery powered. The Chinese, exempt from the Kyoto agreement are busily making themselves an energy powerhouse.

Why do Americans continue to support politicians and causes that weaken our once great Country? Tony Blankly calls it "vulture politics". We seem to be He** bent on self destruction with "moon Bats" like Gore getting an Oscar for a salacious movie based upon unproven data, and Congress refuses to support oil production in ANWAR and the building of new refineries. The Arab world and the Russians and Chinese will control the oil we need to sustain our way of life. But we will have cute little golf Carts masquerading as automobiles!

ANOTHER LIBERAL HALF TRUTH

The liberal writers Peter George and Paul Cruichshank have written a report for "Mother Jones". A left wing rag popular with the the anti-war crowd.These two "pseudo" scientists claim that terrorism has risen 607% since the U.S. invaded Baghdad. Their statistics came from MIPT.
They used the same leftwing formula to put forth their "half-truths". They neglected to mention the Fact that Osama bin Ladin gave a "fatwa" to all faithful Muslims to" kill Americans and plunder their money". He said this in 1998, long before The United States entered Baghdad to stop the genocide Saddam Hussein was perpetrating on his own people.
They also failed to mention the 1998 world wide bombing of U.S. Embassys that killed 275 people and wounded over 4000. The cost to repair and in some cases rebuild the embassy structures exceeded 1.92 billion dollars.
The 2000 terrorist attack on the USS Cole was conveniently omitted. Seventeen sailors were killed and twenty seven seriously wounded.
And not to be forgotten by anyone but a liberal with a mission,was the 2001 terrorist crashing of two 757s into the New York Twin Towers killing over 3000.Funny how most liberal statisticians pick and choose their data. We have been safe here at home since the invasion, and it is why we should keep up the fight to defeat Islamic terrorism.

Socialized Medicine Up Close and Personal

Barack Obama is issuing the following call in a speech in Washington this morning:
"The time has come for universal health care in America." Obama is now the second Dem candidate to make universal health care a central issue in his campaign; John Edwards issued his call for it earlier this year.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, is planning on resuscitating some of the ideas in her failed health care effort in the mid-nineties as part of an effort to directly confront her potential vulnerability on the issue.
With Obama taking a stand for what Hillary tried to pull off in the first year of her husbands Presidency, socialized medicine. I believe it is appropriate to reprint my experience with socialized medicine. The following is a true story!

THE "HOPE INITIATIVE" DRAFTED BY SENATORS ALAN BATES,BEN WETLAND AND REP. MITCH GREEENBECK WOULD AMEND THE OREGON CONSTITUTION TO SAY THAT HEALTH CARE IS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT!

THE INITIATIVE THEY DRAFTED FURTHER STATES THAT THE STATE LEGISLATURE WILL DEVELOP A PLAN BY 2009. NO MENTION IN THE INITIATIVE ABOUT THE POSSIBLE COSTS.

NOT ONLY DOES THE U.S. CONSTITUTION NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HEALTH CARE RIGHTS, BUT THIS INITIATIVE IS NOTHING MORE THAN BLATANT SOCIALISM WHICH WOULD ROB FROM THE "HAVES" TO PAY FOR THE "HAVE NOTS".THIS IS NOTHING MORE OR LESS BUT WHAT THE GREAT SENATOR FROM NEW YORK, HILLARY CLINTON, TRIED TO DO BEHIND CLOSED DOORS THE FIRST YEAR HER HUSBAND WAS PRESIDENT.

A YEAR AGO THIS PAST MAY I, MY WIFE AND MY YOUNGEST SON WERE IN ROME FOR OUR 32ND ANNIVERSARY WHEN I AWOKE IN A HOTEL ROOM AROUND 5A.M WITH THE DREADED "ELEPHANT SITTING ON MY CHEST!"

YES, IT WAS A HEART ATTACK! I WAS SCARED AS HELL! IN ITALY THEY HAVE TOTAL SOCIALIZED MEDICINE---EVEN FOR VISITORS FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES. KIND OF LIKE OUR MEDICAID PROGRAM FOR ILLEGAL MEXICANS.

I DID NOT KNOW THIS UNTIL I CHECKED OUT OF THE HOSPITAL 4 DAYS LATER TO FLY HOME FOR DEFINITIVE TREATMENT OF MY HEART.

BUT AT ANY RATE AN AMBULANCE FINALLY CAME TO OUR HOTEL AROUND 7:30 AND TOOK ME TO A LARGE HOSPITAL NEAR THE ITALIAN PARLIAMENT. THE RIDE ITSELF WAS AN EXPERIENCE. SIRENS BLARING AND WEAVING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC I WAS LUCKY I WAS STRAPPED IN.

WHEN I GOT TO SAN JACQUI MO HOSPITAL I WAS ROLLED INTO A HALLWAY WHERE I WAITED FOR 30 MIN. OR SO.

WHEN A NURSE WHO COULDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH TRIED TO GET MY HISTORY,ETC. FROM A PERSON WHO SPEAKS SPANISH FAIRLY WELL, BUT KNEW ONLY A FEW WORDS OF ITALIAN.

AFTER SOME TIME THEY GAVE ME A SHOT THAT RELIEVED MY PAIN,DREW BLOOD AND ROLLED ME BACK OUT INTO THE HALLWAY WITH DOZENS OF OTHER PATIENTS. FINALLY A DOCTOR CAME TO TELL ME IN FAIRLY GOOD ENGLISH THAT YES I HAD A HEART ATTACK. HE TOLD ME THE CARDIAC CARE WARD WAS FULL, BUT HE WOULD TRY AND GET ME A BED IN THE SURGICAL WARD.

SOME HOURS LATER I WAS TRANSPORTED TO A ROOM THAT HAD TO BE UNLOCKED BEFORE THEY COULD ROLL ME IN, AND WAS LOCKED AS SOON AS I ENTERED.

HAVING OVER 30 YEARS AS AN ORAL SURGEON ON THE STAFFS OF TWO HOSPITALS I WAS SUDDENLY TRANSPORTED INTO THIRD WORLD MEDICINE!

INSIDE THE ROOM WERE FOUR BEDS.THREE OF WHICH WERE OCCUPIED BY MAJOR SURGERY POST OPERATIVE PATIENTS. ONE LADY HAD A MASTECTOMY. ONE MAN HAD A THROAT OPERATION, AND THE THIRD WAS A LADY HAD SOME TYPE OF ABDOMINAL SURGERY. I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT A HEALING WOUND.

THE FIRST THING THEY DID WAS PUSH A LARGE CATHETER,WITHOUT LUBRICATION, UP MY URETHRA. THAT MADE ME BLEED INTO THE PLASTIC BAG ATTACHED TO THE CATHETER FOR TWO DAYS. THERE WAS JUST ONE WINDOW IN THE ROOM, AND IT WAS WIDE OPEN WITH NO SCREEN ON IT!

THIS WAS A ROOM FOR SURGERY PATIENTS HOPING TO RECOVER AND THE FLYS WERE MERRILY FLYING IN AND OUT OF THE WINDOW.

AFTER THE IVs WERE INSERTED IN MY ARMS. I WAS AWARE THAT ALL THE DRESSINGS REMOVED FROM THE SURGERY PATIENTS WERE BEING PLACED IN AN OPEN BOX LINED WITH A PLASTIC BAG ABOUT 4 FEET FROM MY BED NEXT TO THE LOCKED DOOR.

THE IV THAT WAS PUT IN HAD PUNCTURED MY VEIN WALL AND ABOUT AN HOUR LATER MY RIGHT FOREARM WAS SWOLLEN AND HURT LIKE BLAZES. SINCE NO ONE IN THE ROOM COULD UNDERSTAND A WORD OF ENGLISH. I YELLED THE UNIVERSAL DISTRESS, "HELP" AS LOUD AS I COULD. IF I HAD KNOWN WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO "JUST GEORGE", AS THEY LEARNED TO CALL ME,I MAY HAVE BEEN SILENT.

I WAS ABOUT TO BECOME A PIN CUSHION FOR TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE I THOUGHT WERE NURSES. I MIGHT HAVE SAID NOTHING EVEN THOUGH I KNEW IT WASN'T INSERTED CORRECTLY IF I KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO JAB ME SO MANY TIMES WITH LARGE NEEDLES. FINALLY AFTER RIPPING UP MY VEINS IN BOTH FOREARMS THEY CALLED A FEMALE DOCTOR TO HELP. SHE SPOKE ENGLISH AND HAD THE IV IN MY HAND ON THE FIRST TRY. NICE LADY, BUT I NEVER SAW HER AGAIN.

SINCE THERE WAS NO IV INSERTED FOR ABOUT THREE HOURS THEY STARTED TO STICK ME IN THE BELLY WITH INJECTABLE HEPARIN,TO ATTACK THE CLOT IN MY CORONARY.

I VAGUELY REMEMBER 8 OR TEN JABS IN THE BELLY WHICH MADE MY STOMACH LOOK LIKE I WENT TEN ROUNDS WITH "JOE LOW BLOW" BOXER!

AT DINNER TIME I LEARNED THAT THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED NEITHER FOOD NOR WATER, NOR TOILET PRODUCTS SUCH AS SOAP AND TOOTHBRUSH. THEY EXPECTED THE RELATIVES OF THE PATIENTS TO BRING IN THE FOOD,ETC. THE ONLY THING THEY PROVIDED THREE TIMES A DAY WAS A GRUEL LIKE WATERED DOWN SOUP AND 3 "ZWIEBACK" TYPE CRACKERS. I LOST 12 POUNDS IN FOUR DAYS!

FINALLY ON THE MORNING OF THE THIRD DAY I WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE CARDIAC CARE UNIT. IT WAS LIKE GETTING BACK TO THE 21ST CENTURY! THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THEY ONLY HAD FOUR BEDS! IN THIS LARGE VERY STERILE LOOKING ROOM WITH THE NURSES STATION BEHIND A DOOR AND LARGE WINDOWS WITH NO CALL BUTTON AT ANY BED. YOU WERE ON YOUR OWN. THE REAL CLOSE CALL CAME LATER THAT DAY. I HAD BEEN PUT ON AN IV DRIP OF NITROGLYCERIN AND AN IV WITH SOME NARCOTIC, PROBABLY MORPHINE, FOR PAIN. THERE WAS A VERY NICE CARDIOLOGIST WHO COULD SPEAK ENGLISH WELL ENOUGH FOR ME TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM, BUT HE ONLY CAME IN ONCE A DAY.

THE PROBLEM DEVELOPED WHEN I TOLD HIM I WAS STILL HAVING SOME CHEST PAIN. HE ORDERED A SLIGHT INCREASE IN THE NARCOTIC AND NITROGLYCERIN DRIP. THE DRUGS MADE ME SLEEPY AND I DRIFTED OFF TO SLEEP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THREE DAYS. I WAS TOO SCARED TO FALL ASLEEP IN THE SURGERY ROOM AS THE STAFF SPENT MOST OF THEIR TIME DAY AND NIGHT BEHIND A CLOSED DOOR JUST OUTSIDE THE WARD. AT NIGHT THE "HANK-PANKY" GOING ON WOULD WAKE THE DEAD! WHILE I WAS SLEEPING, THE SHIFTS CHANGED, AND APPARENTLY THE "NURSE" WHO HAD INCREASED MY IV DRIP HAD NOT MADE A NOTE IN MY CHART. SO WHEN THE NEW CREW CAME IN THEY INCREASED THE AMOUNT OF NARCOTIC AN NITRO DRIP.

A SHORT TIME LATER WHEN I AWOKE, LUCKILY, I BEGAN TO GO BLIND. EVERYTHING GREW BLACK, AND I THOUGHT I WAS DYING! APPARENTLY MY BLOOD PRESSURE DROPPED TO 50/30 AND ALL I COULD DO WAS WAVE MY HANDS AND TRY TO YELL HELP. LUCKY FOR ME A NEW NIGHT DOCTOR WAS IN THE NURSES STATION AND SAW ME WAVING FRANTICALLY. HE CAME AND AFTER CHECKING MY BLOOD PRESSURE HAD THE NURSING STAFF RAISE THE FOOT OF MY BED SO HIGH I SLIPPED UP TO THE HEADBOARD, BUT IT SAVED MY LIFE ALONG WITH THE IV INJECTIONS OF MEDS.TO RAISE BLOOD PRESSURE.THAT WAS AS CLOSE AS I HAD EVER COME TO HAVING A STROKE.

ON THE FOURTH DAY MY WIFE, MY SON AND I DECIDED THIS HOSPITAL WAS DANGEROUS TO MY HEALTH AND MADE UP OUR MINDS TO FLY BACK TO THE U.S. I TOLD THE DOCTOR, WHO SPOKE ENGLISH, THAT I WANTED TO GO HOME. BUT HE INSISTED I MUST STAY AND HAVE A HEART CATHETERIZING IN THE MORNING. I ASKED HIM IF I WAS IN A PRISON OR COULD I SIGN MYSELF OUT AGAINST HIS ADVICE. AFTER A LENGTHY TALK WITH HIS SUPERIORS HE BROUGHT ME THE RELEASE PAPERS TO SIGN. FOR ALL I KNOW THEY COULD BE A DEATH WARRANT OR DEED TO MY HOUSE AS THEY WERE IN ITALIAN. I SIGNED THE PAPERS AND TOOK A CAB TO THE HOTEL. THE NEXT DAY WE FLEW HOME IN A 747 WITH NITRO PATCHES CHANGED EVERY FOUR HOURS AND ROOM ENOUGH FOR ME TO LIE DOWN AND SLEEP MOST OF THE 10 HOUR FLIGHT.

THUS ENDED MY EXPERIENCE WITH TOTALLY SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. SOME PEOPLE RAVE ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES IN COUNTRIES WITH SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET THE NIGHTMARE THAT WAS MINE ALL FOR FREE. The Caps. were used for emphasis not to shout.

Why Did Iraq Ambassador Apologize?

Last week an American patrol guarding the border between Iraq and Iran in the Medran region 70 miles from Baghdad stopped a suspicious caravan.
The caravan consisted of the son of Abdul Aziz al-Hakim. Hakim is the leader of the Iraqi Parliaments largest Party, SCIRT. He is also the known leader of the Shiite party Badr militia. An active participant in the terror that continues between Shiites and Sunnis on a daily basis.
The son, Ammar al-Hakim is a member os SCIRI, an organization founded in 1982 in Iran with links to Shiite extremists on an ongoing basis.
To further complicate this situation last December the Hakim residential compound was raided by U.S. forces who arrested two Iranians said to be members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Amman and his two body guards were detained for twelve hours, because they failed to co-operate with the U.s. Forces attempting to inspect their vehicles. A normal procedure since it is a well known fact that weapons are being shipped across the border into Iraq from Iran to aid the terrorists.
The three were not hurt or subject to any ill treatment and were released.
One would think this was the end of the incident, but not so!
Our Ambassador to Iraq, Afghanistan born, Pushtu-American, appointed by President Bush, Zalmay Kalizad made a public apology to the Hakims.
He went further to say, Washington meant no disrespect".
Iran is an avowed enemy of the United States and this "special" person and his entourage were coming into Iraq from Iran. Failure to check them thoroughly would be dereliction of duty fro the troops guarding the border. Failure to cooperate is also a good reason for them to be taken into custody. In this country failure to cooperate might get you shot!
Why in H@@@ did our Ambassador apologize for this incident. Political correctness seems to have reached the battle field. We are at war Ambassador, in case you forgot. And you were one of the planners!

Anti_War Proponents Are Doing Putins Work

I believe many "peaceniks" and Congressional members demanding to bring home Our troops and abandon the Iraqi people, believe that they are doing the best thing for America. Unfortunately the same people behind the organized push to retreat from Iraq are the same leftists who managed to convince our Government to abandon the Vietnamese people when we were in fact winning on the field of battle against the Communists.
A very famous and poignant movie by David Lean is "Doctor Zhivago". The movie is about the love affair between a married doctor poet and the beautiful also married "Laura", but intertwined in the plot is the story of the Russian Revolution. In one early scene the apparent fiancee of Laura, "Strelnakoff" is marching with the soldiers going off to fight the Germans. Laura asks him why? His reply is appropriate for many of today's anti-war marchers. He says I need to be with the troops so I can convince them to lay down their weapons and join the Revolution.
Unfortunately with all the turmoil in the Middle East we Americans have forgotten the threat that Communism once posed toward our way of life.
We have assumed it is dead and buried. But I say it was just hibernating until the opportunity came to reassert its' influence.
Putin and many of his closest members of the Russian government are KGB alumni. Putin himself said, "there is no such thing as an ex-KGB agent!"
The recent news of Russian shipment of $700 million worth of TOR-M1 anti-aircraft batteries to Iran, and the shipment of SA-14 and SA-16 portable surface to air missiles that are now being used against our troops in Iraq proves Russia is no friend to the U.S.
Russia has chosen sides in this fight, even though our Media would have you believe they are our allies.
The proposed legislation by the "wayward Marine" Martha to cut off funding to the troops, and the equally devastating proposal by Senator Levin to amend the 2003 Congressional authorization to change the "ROE" to one of support not combat without prior authorization of a battery of "legal experts" are both giving aid and comfort to the enemy. There is no doubt in my mind that if this proposed legislation were offered in any other Country but Ours, it would be considered treason during a time of war.
During the Vietnam War, McNamara and President Johnson micro-managed the war so badly it was doomed to fail. Now the Democratic Congress and a few "off the Reservation RINO's" are trying to micromanage Iraq with the only result being defeat.
However, if this dastardly legislation gets passed it won't be the civilians who are left "high and dry". It will be our troops who will be killed as support and supplies dwindle. This is unthinkable!
I am sure this is not what the American people want to happen. Write your members of Congress and tell them not to cut off support for our brave warriors! Things have not gone well since the Forces of Saddam were vanquished, but they will get a whole lot worst if the leftist "defeatists" have their way.

Consequences of Withdrawl

With all the efforts of the Congressional Democrats and "RINO" co-conspirators directed toward the removal of Our troops from Iraq. These double talking politician should take one brief moment to realize what they plan to do will not only give credence to the Terrorist leaders theory that America is only "a paper tiger", but will have more far reaching consequences in the quest of Islamist radicals to conquer the world in the great jihad.
Leaving Iraq will bring satisfaction to our alleged allies, Russia, France and Germany. It will give them free access to trade with the Radicals who surely will take power after the "blood Bath".
Iraq will also become a staging ground for additional terrorist training camps, and the chemical and biological weapons that were shipped across the borders to Syria and Iran will be brought back to restart the WMD program that Saddam "never had".
With the Democrats effort to give their avowed enemy President Bush a black eye they will become willing accomplices of the International jihad.
For those who don't believe such a crusade exists. I have include the conclusion of testimony given during the FBI presentation to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence January 20, 2007 by Michael E. Rolince. Mr. Rolince Is Special Agent in Charge , Washington D.C.
During his testimony he said that "We also believe that if it can Al Qaeda will obtain and use some form of chemical, biological or radiological weapons in the U.S!
Some of the groups they are watching in the U.S. are the Black Separatists and Animal Rights extremists. Groups the FBI feels "might follow radical variants of Islam."
Once the International terrorists no longer have Iraq to worry about. They can and will step up their attacks in the U.S. and any other Country supportive of Our efforts in Iraq.
"Fat Cat" politicians have the money and power to shield themselves from this inevitable threat, but you and I have no such protection. God save the 2nd Amendment!
The FBI Testimony follows:
"The lesson to be drawn is that Al Qaeda is but one faction of a larger and very amorphous radical anti-western network that uses Al Qaeda members as well as others who share common hatred or are sympathetic to Al Qaeda's ideas or that share common hatreds. Terrorists world-wide speak of jihad and wonder why the western world is focused on groups rather than on the concepts that make them a community. Al Qaeda is far less a large organization than a facilitator, sometimes orchestrator, of Islamic militants around the globe. These militants are linked by ideas and goals, not by organization structure. The intent is establishment of states ruled by Islamic law, (sharia) and free of western influence. Usama Bin Laden's contribution to the Islamic jihad is as a creature of the modern world. He has spawned a global network of individuals with common, radical ideas, kept alive by modern communications and sustained through large amounts of money.
In the final analysis, the international jihad movement is comprised of dedicated individuals and numerous groups committed to establishing a Muslim community through terrorist means. Many of these are people who attended universities together, trained in the camps together, traveled and lived together. Al Qaeda and other international terrorist groups remain focused on the United States as their primary target. The United States and its allies must continue to adapt to changing circumstances.
Conclusion:As we continue to learn more about the individuals involved in the planning and execution of the terrorist acts of September 11-- the FBI and other members of the Intelligence and Law Enforcement Communities are using all the tools provided by the U.S. Government, such as the Patriot Act, to ensure more comprehensive efforts in the collection, analysis and sharing of information to prevent terrorist acts and prosecute those responsible. The FBI is continuing its efforts to work hand-in-hand with our partners to improve information sharing."

Why Are Officials "Bullet Proof"?

Now that the Great American pastime called football is finished for another year, and it is just a few weeks until March "madness" begins for College Basketball. It is time to ask why officials cannot be criticised?
Although it is next to impossible for a lay person to find out how much money is bet each week on college and professional sports. I would guess that it is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, pounds, rubles and euros.
If for no reason other than this is a lot of money riding on from three to seven human beings getting their "calls" correct during the games. It is worth asking why the respective league offices have been declared officials off limits for criticism?
The list of fines levied by league officials on coaches and players is long and questionable. Are they protecting the image of their sport so it will be an appealing thing to watch on the lucrative television "cow" that feeds the sports owners and players?
Owners are not immune to fines for their statements either. Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks has been fined at least 1.5 million dollars for his criticism since purchasing the team in November of 2000.
Owner Dan Rooney, owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was fined 25 thousand dollars after the Steelers loss to Atlanta 41-38 10/22/06. He said: "the referees should be ashamed of themselves". Anyone who watched the games this past year has to agree there were too many bad calls to go un-noted. Was it tired, sloppy officiating by some men who are too old to do the job correctly, or was it bias or even worse, financial inducement?
Instead of allowing after game criticism during the press conferences, as would be a normal and appropriate opportunity to blow off some steam. The NFL has placed a gage order on all coaches and players. This doesn't show the league is serious about having the best officiating for their games.
The same criticism goes for the NHL, NBA and extends into the College game.
Recent examples are Jason Kidds' 20 thousand dollar fine for his comments about NBA official Tom Washington after his Nets lost 92-91 to the Detroit Pistons.
Maybe it is time for a Congressional Committee to look into this issue. It would fit into their schedule nicely along side the rest of the "attack" hearings to make President Bush look bad!
